·         Baltimore City Men’s Health Center

 

The Men's Health Center (MHC) provides primary care, screening and health education to uninsured males residing in Baltimore City.  Based on screening, the Center provides referrals to various specialty care services including oral health, STD, podiatry, radiology, cardiology, urology, ophthalmology, substance abuse, and mental health service.

 

 

Brothers United Who Dare to Care is committed to improving the community by creating cultural pride and increasing educational and employment opportunities.

 

 

The goal of Maryland Men's Health Network is to improve the health and wellbeing of men and their families across the state.

 

National

 

 

The purpose of Men's Health Week is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.  The website provides resources related to activities taking place during Men’s Health Week.

 

 

The mission of the Men’s Health Resource Center is to coordinate the efforts of activists for men's health who wish to engage government in the promotion of healthy behaviors among men. Activists are encouraged to contact their Senators and Representative and encourage them to vote for passage of a bill to establish an Office of Men's Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The AHRQ Men’s Health Website provides an overview of research, links to consumer materials, and clinical information by heath topic.

 

 

This website, provided by AHRQ, provides a guide for men on how to stay healthy and prevent disease throughout their lives. 

 

 

The CDC Men’s Health Web page provides current information on men’s health issues including research and news topics.

 

 

The National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC) supports the Administration for Children and Families' Office of Family Assistance's (OFA) efforts to assist States and communities to promote and support Responsible Fatherhood and Healthy Marriage.

 

 

This website provides information on resources that promote responsible fatherhood among America’s fathers.

 

 

Healthfinder.gov is a resource of reliable information on men’s health topics.  Visitors will find health information and related resources.

 

 

The Men’s Health section of Medline Plus offers a wide range of information on men’s health issues including health overview, symptoms, treatment, prevention/screening, and other resources specific to men’s health.

 

 

The National Center for Health Statistics provides U.S. data for specified years specific to men’s health issues including health status, risk factors, health care utilization, and mortality.  

 

 

This NIH Website provides quick links to various Men’s Health conditions.  Each link takes the user to another page that provides detailed information on the specific health topic.

 

 

From 2003 through 2005, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) focused on educating the public about depression in men through its Real Men. Real Depression. campaign, becoming the nation’s first formal public effort to raise awareness on the topic.  This website provides materials from this campaign.

 

 

The National Women’s Health Information Center provides a Webpage dedicated to men’s health.  This page offers health information with a variety of additional resources for men.
